- 4 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons capers, chopped, or to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 10 leaves fresh basil, chopped
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, or to taste

- Bring water to a boil in a saucepan; add farro. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until farro is tender, about 30 minutes. Drain and let cool.
